Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how OFW Guides PH collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website, buy our digital products, contact us, or interact with our ads and marketing.

1. Who we are

OFW Guides PH is an independent digital publisher that creates educational guides, workbooks, templates, and digital tools for Overseas Filipino Workers and their families.

We are not SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, POEA/DMW, OWWA, or any government agency.

2. Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, billing details, order details, support messages, and any information you send when asking for help.

When you use our website, Shopify and other tools may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, referral source, checkout activity, and cookie or pixel identifiers.

If you join our email list, download a free resource, or consent to marketing, we may collect your email address and marketing preferences.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to process orders, deliver digital products, provide customer support, send order updates, prevent fraud, improve our website, understand which pages and ads are working, and comply with legal or platform requirements.

If you consent to marketing, we may send useful product updates, educational content, offers, and reminders. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

4. Payments and checkout

Our store runs on Shopify. Payments are processed through Shopify and supported payment providers. We do not store your full card number or complete payment credentials on our own servers.

Payment providers may collect and process payment information under their own privacy policies and security standards.

5. Cookies, analytics, and ads

Our website may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and advertising tools to keep the site working, remember preferences, measure traffic, track checkout activity, and improve advertising performance.

These tools may include Shopify analytics, Google tools, Meta tools, and similar services. They help us understand actions such as page views, product views, add to cart, checkout activity, and purchases.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if cookies are blocked.

6. Digital delivery and third-party tools

We may use third-party tools to deliver digital files, send emails, host templates, manage support, or provide links to resources such as PDF files and Google Sheets.

These providers only receive information needed to perform their services for us, such as delivering a file, sending an email, or confirming access.

7. When we share information

We may share information with service providers who help us run the store, process payments, deliver products, send emails, prevent fraud, analyze performance, and advertise our products.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights, to respond to legal requests, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, sale, or reorganization.

We do not sell customer lists as a standalone product. Some advertising or analytics activity may be treated as “sharing” under certain privacy laws because ad platforms use cookies or pixels to measure and improve ads.

8. International processing

Because we use Shopify and other online service providers, your information may be processed or stored in countries outside the Philippines or outside your current country of residence.

9. How long we keep information

We keep order, support, and account information for as long as needed to deliver products, provide support, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve our services.

Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, unless we need to retain limited records for legal or operational reasons.

10. Your choices and rights

You may contact us to request access to your personal information, correct inaccurate information, unsubscribe from marketing, or ask us to delete information where deletion is legally and technically possible.

Some information may need to be retained for order records, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, security, or legal compliance.

11. Security

We use reputable platforms and reasonable safeguards to protect customer information. No online system is completely risk-free, so please use a secure email account, avoid sharing download links publicly, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

12. Children

Our products and website are intended for adults and families managing OFW-related financial, benefits, and paperwork decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. External links

Our website and products may link to government websites, Shopify services, Google Sheets, payment providers, social media platforms, or other third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
