Welcome to OFW Guides PH. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using our website and buying our digital guides, workbooks, templates, and related materials.

1. Who we are

OFW Guides PH is an independent digital publisher. We create plain-English educational guides and tools for Overseas Filipino Workers and their families.

We are not the Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, POEA/DMW, OWWA, a government office, a law firm, a financial adviser, or an insurance provider.

2. Educational use only

Our guides and tools are for general educational and informational purposes only. They are designed to help you understand common processes, prepare documents, organize information, and ask better questions when dealing with official agencies.

Our content is not legal, financial, tax, medical, immigration, or government advice. You should confirm important decisions directly with the relevant government agency, licensed professional, employer, bank, insurer, or official source.

3. Digital products

Products sold on this website are digital products. After purchase, you may receive access through email, download links, Shopify digital delivery, Google Sheets links, PDF files, or other electronic delivery methods.

You are responsible for entering the correct email address at checkout and for keeping your download links, files, and account access secure.

4. Personal use license

When you buy a product from OFW Guides PH, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for yourself and your immediate household.

You may not resell, redistribute, upload publicly, share download links, copy into another product, claim as your own, or use our materials for commercial training, coaching, consulting, or resale without our written permission.

5. No guaranteed outcome

We work to make our materials practical and useful, but we cannot guarantee that using our guides will result in approval of benefits, claims, refunds, reimbursements, pension amounts, account corrections, or any specific outcome.

Government rules, contribution tables, agency procedures, documentary requirements, and online systems can change. Always verify critical information with official sources.

6. Pricing, payments, and taxes

Prices are shown in Philippine pesos unless otherwise stated. We may change prices, bundles, discounts, or product availability at any time.

Payments are processed through Shopify and its supported payment providers. We do not store your full card details on our own servers.

You are responsible for any bank fees, foreign exchange charges, taxes, or other charges applied by your payment provider, country, or financial institution.

7. Refunds and digital access

Because our products are digital and can be accessed immediately after purchase, all sales are generally final once the product has been delivered or accessed.

If you purchased the wrong product, did not receive your download, or experienced a technical issue, contact us and we will review the situation in good faith.

8. Product updates

Some products may include updates when we release improved versions. Updates are not guaranteed for every product and may depend on the product type, edition, and availability of new information.

We may correct, revise, rename, replace, or discontinue products when needed.

9. Website use

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to break security, scrape or copy content at scale, upload harmful code, interfere with checkout, or use our materials in a way that violates the law or the rights of others.

10. Third-party links and tools

Our website or materials may link to third-party websites, official government pages, Shopify services, payment providers, Google Sheets, Meta, analytics tools, email tools, or other platforms.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, uptime, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.

11. Intellectual property

All guides, templates, copy, graphics, branding, layouts, and related materials from OFW Guides PH are owned by us or licensed to us. All rights are reserved unless we clearly say otherwise.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, OFW Guides PH will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by reliance on our educational materials, third-party services, payment issues, agency decisions, or changes in official rules.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
